Weaving The Power
Our Story
Then dignity would replace dependence, and skill would finally meet opportunity. Every weave would carry not just beauty, but a story of independence. Homes would be filled with products made by hands that are seen, valued, and paid fairly. And the makers would no longer just create they would thrive.

What if the hands that had always made things could finally sell them?
In 2012, through the Skilled Samaritan Foundation, work began in rural communities in Haryana to support women through skill-based livelihoods. What became clear early on was simple: the skill was already there. What was missing was access — to markets, to consistent work, to opportunity.

The work began with a single woman artisan. As demand grew, more women joined bringing with them techniques, materials, and knowledge passed down through generations.
Over time, this evolved into Sirohi.
From one artisan to a network
From the beginning, the focus has remained the same: build systems where craft can scale without losing its integrity and where making leads to steady livelihoods, not occasional income.
That belief continues to shape everything Sirohi makes today.
Mission
To create income opportunities for women with existing craft skills by providing them with 'tech-based design support' to make sustainable products for a conscious global buyer.
Vision
A future where every skilled woman has access to fair markets, design support, and economic independence. Where rural artisans are business owners, not beneficiaries.

Mining the Landfill
We begin where others end — at the waste stream. Plastic wrappers, chip packets, textile scraps, and discarded materials are collected before they reach the landfill, giving them a second life as raw material.
The Gandhian Innovation
Inspired by the charkha and the philosophy of local production for local needs, our artisans transform recovered materials using hand-operated tools — keeping energy use near zero and craftsmanship at the center.
The Rhythm of the Charpai
The weaving technique at the heart of every Sirohi piece is drawn from the traditional charpai — the woven cot found in every Indian village. Ancient structure, new materials, timeless craft.
Boss stories,
not sob stories.
That became the rule. Because the women of Muzaffarnagar didn't need rescuing, they needed revenue. They didn't need sympathy, they needed systems. They needed fair wages, creative freedom.

Materials with a second life
These are materials that usually choke our landfills because they are too difficult to separate. We intercept them. Using indigenous twisting techniques, we transform flimsy chip packets and discarded fabric strips into high-tensile, weather-resistant ropes. It is material science, powered by hand.
About Materials
Textile Waste
Discarded fabric strips from fast fashion, hand-twisted into vibrant ropes.
MLP (Multi-Layer Plastic)
Chip packets and multilayer wrappers shredded and woven into weather-resistant material.
Carbon Math
Every piece offsets more carbon than it generates — a product that gives back.
Strengthening the ecosystem
Because our work doesn’t stop at making products it extends to caring for the people behind them. From eye care camps to wellness and hygiene drives, we invest in the well-being of our artisan community.
The craft of India, built for the world.
