Weaving The Right Way

From Discarded to Divine.

True luxury is no longer about abundance; it is about mindfulness. At Sirohi, we have reimagined the lifecycle of consumption. By intercepting industrial waste before it reaches the landfill and fusing it with the timeless heritage of Indian weaving.

With this process, we create pieces that are as kind to the earth as they are beautiful in your home. This is the journey of your Sirohi product. A journey from Waste to Wow.

Three stages. Zero waste. Crafted Products.

These are the systems where textile waste becomes tensile rope. Where chip packets transform into load-bearing furniture. Where unskilled labor becomes skilled entrepreneurship. Where villages compete with global brands on quality, not charity.

1. It Starts with Waste

Every Sirohi product begins with materials that would otherwise end up in landfills. We work with textile scrap from garment factories and post-consumer plastic waste sourced from local partners and recycling units. By intercepting this waste at the source, we transform discarded materials into durable ropes and strips giving them a second life while reducing environmental impact.

2. Turning Waste intoWeaving Material

Before it becomes a basket, every material goes through a transformation. Textile scraps are cleaned and twisted into strong fabric yarn, while plastic waste is processed into flexible weaving strands. These materials are then prepared for artisans who skillfully convert them into sturdy, functional forms proving that waste can become both beautiful and durable.

3. The Rhythm of the Weave

At the heart of Sirohi lies the craft of charpai-inspired weaving practiced across North India. Artisans hand-weave textile and plastic strands over metal frames, creating strong, geometric patterns that balance structure with flexibility. Every piece is woven slowly and intentionally, guided by the rhythm of practiced hands and generations of craft knowledge.

Why We Do This

Because talent is universal, but opportunity is not. Because skills passed down through generations shouldn’t die from underpayment. Because women who can weave extraordinary furniture shouldn’t be weaving them for ₹30.

To Break Social Barriers

Community-led transformation starting with one woman breaking barriers, then inspiring 50+, now 2,500+. Pride in craft changing community perception from "shameful work" to "business ownership."

To Tackle Economic Crisis

What Makes It Possible

Taking a symbol of India's independence and adapting it for environmental independence. The charkha isn't just heritage, it's high-tech tool for material mixing.

Innovation in Materials

Our materials begin their journey as discarded textile scraps and plastic waste.

These materials are cleaned, sorted, and transformed into durable weaving strands that artisans can work with. This process allows us to convert waste into long-lasting functional products.

Women at the Center

At the heart of Sirohi are 2,500+ women artisans who bring every product to life.

Through decentralized production across villages, women are able to work within their communities while earning sustainable livelihoods and continuing their craft traditions.

Design Meets Sustainability

Sirohi combines traditional weaving knowledge with contemporary design and engineering.

The result is furniture, baskets, and lifestyle products that are durable, lightweight, and made using materials that would otherwise end up in landfills

Waste to Worth

To date, Sirohi has upcycled 120,000+ kgs of textile and plastic waste, preventing 300,000+ kgs of CO₂ emissions. Each handcrafted product represents a step toward a circular economy where waste becomes a resource.

We've adapted this technology for modern waste materials. Instead of cotton or jute fiber, we feed textile waste strips and MLP packaging into adapted charkhas.

A Day in Our Life

Discover the daily rhythm of our artisan community — from morning workshops to evening celebrations.

Strengthening theecosystem

Because our work doesn’t stop at making products it extends to caring for the people behind them. From eye care camps to wellness and hygiene drives, we invest in the well-being of our artisan community.

Eye Care Camp

Eye care camps through partnership with VisionSpring Foundation across Rukanpur, Budhina, Sujroo, Shamli, and Alipur Khurd. Menstrual hygiene awareness through partnership with Azah (PowerHouse91's premiere women's hygiene brand). Workshops breaking stigma, busting myths, spreading awareness.

Menstrual Health& Pad Drive

Every year, we conduct menstrual health drives for our artisan communities in collaboration with partner brands like Aza. Through these initiatives, sanitary pads are distributed and awareness sessions are held to educate women about menstrual hygiene, health, and access to safe products, helping reduce stigma and improve wellbeing.

Artisan Wellness & Skincare Initiatives

Through collaborations with brands such as Innisfree and Juicy Chemistry, we host wellness and skincare awareness sessions for artisans. These initiatives focus on educating women about skin health, self-care, and protection while working, along with distributing skincare products and essentials.

Healthcare Programs

we organized free health check-up camps for our artisan communities. These camps provide access to medical consultations, basic health screenings, and guidance from healthcare professionals. Artisans are also given access to free pharmacy support for essential medicines, helping ensure timely treatment and better overall wellbeing.
