As a brand that gives so much importance to its values and ideologies, many times we face the question of ‘ What inspires your product range?’

While the motive to weave these sensations is purely purposeful of reviving the lost traditions of the Indian culture, our inspiration or ideology behind the products is quite different.

Whenever we design and create a product, we aim for it to make a statement about the simplicity as well as luxuries of life. To put it simply, the simple luxuries of life. Much of this comes from our much awaited visits to the place where all this was born- Sirohi.  Sirohi observes a quiet rural living that is bursting with joy, tranquility and life. This is the atmosphere our products aim to bring to your space.

Sirohi also derives the inspiration for this simple luxury from the world’s most simplistic and minimalistic way of life- Hygge.

“Pronounced ‘Hoo-ga’ this Danish word encompasses a feeling of cozy contentment and well-being by enjoying the simple things in life. It only requires the ability to not just be present – but recognize and enjoy the present. It is also recognised as an art of creating intimacy (either with yourself, friends and your home). By creating simple rituals without effort {such as brewing real tea with a little china cup every evening to stopping at the flower shop every week} they see both the domestic and personal life as an art form and not a mundane exercise. They incorporate hygge into their daily life, so it becomes a natural extension.* ”

If you think about it, our rural social landscape shares very similar ideologies. Especially when it comes to the mood set by significant furniture pieces like the charpai.

A lazy summer evening would imply simply idling by on the charpai under a mango tree or in the courtyard, after a sultry day in the fields.

While the technical aspects of our products focused on bringing functionality to the design by using sustainable methods, we also wanted our products to have an opinion and a message.

A statement that would remind people to take a moment from their demanding lives- a moment to be grateful for the blessings of this Planet and all that it has to offer. A moment to truly appreciate the most simplistic pleasures of this life.
